We would like to acknowledge the Research Park at the University of Western Ontario for opening the Convergence Centre for the second year in a row as the location for PodCamp 2011. Without their involvement we would have had a much harder time putting on this event.

The Convergence Center is the newest building at the Research Park, officially opening on January 20th, 2010. The building is one of the most advanced and “greenest” office and laboratory buildings in Canada. The building’s mandates it to provide the oppurtunity for government, academia and industry to work together to build and grow the economy of southwestern Ontario. Additionally, specific space was designated for early stage startups.

As one of the greenest buildings in Canada the Convergence Centre has been designated as LEED Gold (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and has made a concentrated effort to reduce their environmental footprint during both construction and operations.
