As we get closer to PodCamp London we will be profiling some of the sessions you can expect to hear on April 25th. Today, James Wilkinson from James Wilkinson Photography & Design. James will be presenting twice; The Online Presence and Advanced Topics.
The Online Presence
- Advantages & Disadvantages to using a blog as your online presence
- Alternatives to Blogs (Forums, CMS’s and Social Networking Groups & Websites)
- How to pick out good hosting for your online presence
- Domain names and why you NEED one!
- Adding media to your pages in a way that spreads your content (YouTube, BlogTV, Facebook, Flick’r)

What to Bring?
Head & Torso (other appendages a plus)
Note Taking Utility (Laptop, iPhone, Palm, Pen & Paper etc..) I dont mind you using a computer while I’m speaking

Advanced Topics
This session will start off easy and quickly grow into something complex. I will show you tricks on posting your content to be seen by others easily, then diving into more advanced stuff dealing with blogs and having them “indexed” then on to what to do if you have a web site, followed by reading a bit of code to find what you need to tweek. After that I will show you how to take a simple design you may havin in photoshop and make it into a wordpress skin.
